 Clean Operation to Promote Sustainable Logistics

DHL是全球首家提出至2050年实现物流相关净零排放的国际物流企业。2021年，DHL集团发布全新可持续发展路线图，以及至2030年的ESG中期目标。在环境保护方面，集团致力于至2030年将碳排放总量从2021年的3900万吨减少至2900万吨以下。作为集团旗下业务单元之一，DHL快递在可持续航空燃料、车队电气化建设和自建气候中性设施等方面持续投资推进。

 

DHL is the first international logistics enterprise in the world that proposes to achieve zero net emissions related to logistics by 2050. In 2021, DHL Group released a brand-new sustainable development roadmap and the medium-term goal of ESG by 2030. In terms of environmental protection, the Group is committed to reducing the total carbon emissions from 39 million tons in 2021 to less than 29 million tons by 2030. As one of the business units of the Group, DHL Express continues to invest in sustainable aviation fuel, electrification of the fleet and self-built climate-neutral facilities.

可持续航空燃料（SAF）被业界广泛视为航空业实现碳中和的有效措施，可减少80%的二氧化碳排放。为此，DHL快递不断加大采购和使用力度，2022年与bp和Neste达成购买8亿公升SAF交易，2023年与世界能源公司签署长达七年的长期战略协议，通过SAF证书（SAFc）购买约6.68亿升SAF，致力于至2030年将可持续航空燃料混合使用比例提高至30%以上。

Sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) is widely regarded as an effective measure to achieve carbon neutrality in aviation industry, which can reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 80%. To this end, DHL Express has continuously increased its procurement and use. In 2022, it reached a deal with bp and Neste to purchase 800 million liters of SAF. In 2023, it signed a seven-year long-term strategic agreement with the World Energy Company, and purchased about 668 million liters of SAF through SAFc, aiming to increase the proportion of sustainable aviation fuel mixed use to more than 30% by 2030.        

与此同时，DHL快递也积极帮助客户通过使用SAF减少碳排放，并于2023年推出全新GoGreen Plus服务，以“碳嵌入”的方式减少减排难度更高的范围3碳排放，是首家提供此服务的国际快递企业。截至2024年4月，中国区已有超过四万家客户使用了该项服务，在DHL全球220个网络国家和地区中遥遥领先。

At the same time, DHL Express also actively helps customers to reduce carbon emissions by using SAF. In 2023, it launched a brand-new GoGreen Plus service to reduce carbon emissions in the more difficult range of 3 by "carbon embedding". It is the first international express delivery company to provide this service. By April, 2024, more than 40,000 customers in China have used this service, which is far ahead of DHL's global 220 network countries and regions.

此外，DHL快递也积极推动机队现代化和电气化航空网络。据集团《2023年ESG年度报告》，DHL快递业务单元自有机队中已有超过47%的飞机达到国际民航组织航空环境保护委员会发布的CAEP/8最高排放标准。在推进电气化航空网络方面，2021年，DHL快递订购了12架Alice全电动货机，首批飞机将于2027年交付。  

In addition, DHL Express also actively promotes fleet modernization and electrified aviation network. According to the Group's ESG Annual Report 2023, more than 47% of the aircraft in the DHL express business unit have reached the highest emission standard CAEP/8 issued by the Aviation Environmental Protection Committee of ICAO. In promoting the electrified aviation network, in 2021, DHL Express ordered 12 Alice all-electric cargo planes, and the first batch of aircraft will be delivered in 2027.        

在地面运输方面，DHL快递中国区通过广泛与国内车企合作采买新能源车，持续推进车队电气化建设。截至2023年底，车队电动车比例达到26%。同时，去年5月，DHL快递中国区与本地合作伙伴携手推出的首支氢能源卡车车队在上海正式商业化运营。  

In terms of ground transportation, DHL Express China District continued to promote the electrification of the fleet through extensive cooperation with domestic car companies to purchase new energy vehicles. By the end of 2023, the proportion of electric vehicles in the fleet reached 26%. At the same time, in May last year, the first hydrogen truck fleet jointly launched by DHL China and local partners was officially commercialized in Shanghai.

在建筑设施方面，自2021年起，DHL快递全部自有新建建筑均使用碳中和设计。在中国区，绿色电力使用比例已达到100%。

In terms of building facilities, since 2021, all new buildings owned by DHL Express have adopted carbon neutral design. In China District, the proportion of green electricity has reached 100%.       

得益于DHL快递的去碳化举措和成果，DHL快递在2021-2023年连续三年入选《中国民航》杂志年度航旅榜单，接连获得“年度环保航空公司”、“年度货运航空公司”称号，并在2022-2023年间连续入选国际商报外资企业ESG案例白皮书。 

Thanks to the decarbonization measures and achievements of DHL Express, DHL Express was selected in the annual airline list of China Civil Aviation magazine for three consecutive years from 2021 to 2023, and successively won the titles of "Environmental Airline of the Year" and "Cargo Airline of the Year", and was selected in the international business daily ESG case white paper from 2022 to 2023.
